General

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is designed around access reliability, continuity, and clinical judgment. You pay a flat monthly membership fee for comprehensive primary care services. There's no insurance billing, no copays, and no surprise bills. Your doctor works directly for you.

Is this the same as concierge medicine?

Concierge models often add access on top of the same insurance system. FreedomDoc Health changes the structure of care so primary care can actually do its job—with smaller patient panels, more time per visit, and a focus on resolving issues. Our memberships start from $110/month.

What's the difference between FreedomDoc Health and my current doctor?

At FreedomDoc Health, you'll have direct access to your doctor via phone, text, or email. Appointments are unhurried, available same-day or next-day, and there are no copays. Because your doctor has a smaller patient panel, they actually know you and your health history.

Membership

What's included in my membership?

Your membership includes included office visits, same/next-day appointments, direct physician access (phone, text, email), virtual visits, annual wellness exams, chronic disease management, minor procedures, and wholesale medication pricing. No copays, ever.

How much does membership cost?

Individual adult memberships start from $110/month and children from $100/month. Family plans available with discounts. Pricing ranges up to $300/month for seniors depending on physician. We also offer senior (65+) and young adult rates. All pricing is transparent with no hidden fees.

What is your cancellation policy?

Memberships have a 6-month minimum commitment. After 6 months, you may cancel with 90 days written notice. This structure supports the smaller patient panels and longer appointments that define our care model.

Do you accept insurance?

We don't bill insurance for primary care services — that's what keeps our care personal and affordable. However, you can pair your membership with insurance or Healthshare for hospital, specialist, and emergency care.

Insurance & Coverage

Do I still need health insurance?

We recommend having coverage for major medical events like hospital stays, surgery, and specialist care. This can be traditional insurance, a high-deductible plan, or Healthshare. Your FreedomDoc membership handles all your primary care needs.

What is Healthshare?

Healthshare is a community of people who share medical costs. It's not insurance, but provides similar financial protection for major medical events at a fraction of the cost. We can help you find a Healthshare program that works for your situation.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes! DPC membership fees are generally considered a qualified medical expense for HSA and FSA accounts. Check with your plan administrator to confirm.

Services

What services are included?

Included services: preventive care, sick visits, chronic disease management, annual physicals, minor procedures (skin tag removal, laceration repair, joint injections), EKGs, and more. Services vary slightly by location.

What's NOT included?

Not included: hospital care, surgery, specialist visits, advanced imaging (MRI, CT), and emergency room visits. However, we coordinate all your care and advocate for you to get fair pricing.

Do you see children?

Select locations offer pediatric care. Check with specific locations for availability. Our Fishers location specializes in family care including children.

What about after-hours care?

Your doctor is available by phone or text for urgent issues during extended hours. For true emergencies, always call 911 or go to the emergency room.

For Employers

How does DPC work for employers?

Employers can offer DPC memberships as a benefit, either replacing traditional insurance or layering it on top of a high-deductible plan. This approach preserves timely access when employees need care and supports ongoing relationships with a primary care physician.

Can DPC replace our insurance entirely?

DPC alone isn't insurance and doesn't cover hospitalization or specialty care. Many employers pair DPC with a healthshare community or a high-deductible plan to help with larger medical costs. Healthshares are not insurance.

How many employees do we need?

We work with employers of all sizes, from 5 employees to 500+. Custom pricing and plan designs are available based on your specific needs.
